Daniel Plaza

Daniel Plaza ( Daniel Plaza Montero, born July 3, 1966 in Barcelona ) is a Spanish mountaineers and Olympic champion.

He won a silver medal at the European Championships in 1990 in the 20 km walk and a bronze medal at the World Championships in Stuttgart in 1993.

At the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992, he won 20 kilometers of the gold medal, before the Canadians Guillaume LeBlanc ( silver ) and the Italian Giovanni De Benedictis (bronze).
