Daniel Yule

Daniel Yule ( born February 18, 1993 Martigny ) is a Swiss ski racer. He belongs to the B-team of Swiss-Ski and specializes in the slalom and giant slalom.

Biography

Yule is the son of Scottish parents, who settled in the canton of Valais. In 2008 he won three Swiss and two British Youth Championship. To be included in the junior squad of Swiss-Ski can, he had become naturalized; besides, he gave up playing football. From December 2008 Yule participated in FIS races and national junior race. Breakfast is a specialization apparent in the technical disciplines, because he hardly ever super-G race and departures denied. The first missions in the European Cup he had in January 2011. A month later he won his first FIS race, a slalom in Val d'Isere.

In the points of the European Cup Yule drove for the first time on January 16, 2012 in the slalom of Méribel. Six days later, his World Cup debut followed at the Hahnenkamm slalom in Kitzbuehel, but he left in the first run out. He won the end of January the Swiss Slalom Junior Champion title. In June 2012, he shut the Cantonal School in Martigny from the Matura. In the 2012/13 season, Yule established gradually in the European Cup and scored two ninth places as high scores; besides, he could defend his Junior Champion title. On 4 December 2013 Slalom Vemdalen he managed the first victory in a European Cup races. The first World Cup points he won on January 6, 2014 when he drove in the slalom in Bormio on the 17th Place. In the slalom in Kitzbuehel on January 24, 2014, he achieved his best World Cup result, as he ran the fastest time in the second round on the 7th Place. After he had retired at the Olympic Winter Games 2014 in the second round of the slalom, he won at the Junior World Cup in 2014 the bronze medal in the slalom. In the European Cup, he decided in the 2013/14 season, the slalom discipline rating for themselves.
