Daniele Gatti
Daniele Gatti ( born November 6, 1961 in Milan ) is an Italian conductor.
Biographical

At the age of 27 years, Gatti made his debut at La Scala in Milan. Then he conducted at the Gran Teatro La Fenice di Venezia in Venice, the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, at the Berlin State Opera and the Metropolitan Opera (Met) in New York City, where he in 1989 and 1990, at Carnegie Hall, with the conducting of the American Symphony Orchestra, was active.
His first job as a music director came Gatti 1992 with the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. He also worked from 1994 as chief guest conductor ( Principal Guest Conductor ) of the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. Both offices ended in 1997.
Gatti made his debut in 1996, the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. In the same year he began his work as music director of the London-based Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO ), whose musical direction he held until 2009. From 1997 until the end of his contract in late 2007, Gatti was ten years also music director of the Bologna Opera House, the Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Bologna.
At the State Opera in Vienna, Gatti introduced at a performance of Verdi's opera Simon Boccanegra on 14 October 2002. Since then he has led, among other musical premiere productions of Verdi's masterpiece " Othello", a musical folk drama of Mussorgsky 's "Boris Godunov " and Schoenberg's opera " Moses und Aron ". Further performances of " Boris Godunov " in the house on the Ringstrasse followed with him in 2007.
On 18 July 2007 Radio France announced that Gatti succeeding Kurt Masur Music Director of the counterparties located in the Théâtre des Champs- Élysées Orchestre National de France ( ONF ) from September 2008 was (initially for the 2008-2009 season ) called.
2008 Gatti was the first time one of the most artistic and musical director at the Richard Wagner Festival in Bayreuth, in July and August he conducted the neuinszenierte by Stefan Herheim music drama of Richard Wagner's "Parsifal".
Since the season 2009/2010 Gatti has been chief conductor of the Zurich Opera House and is the successor of the Austrian Franz Welser -Möst.
