Danilo Petrucci

Danilo Petrucci ( born October 24, 1990 in Terni ) is an Italian motorcycle racer.

Career

Petrucci is a trained police officer. From 2007 to 2009 he went on a Yamaha in the European Superstock 600 Championship. In 2010 he moved to the Superstock 1000 Cup. There he went to the team Pedercini Kawasaki. 2011 Petrucci was in this championship on a Ducati 1098R in Barni Racing Team with two points behind Davide Giugliano runner-up. In the Italian championship he won the titles in this category at Barni Ducati before Ivan Clementi.

Danilo Petrucci in 2012 moved into the MotoGP class of the Motorcycle World Championship for CLAME - IodaRacing Project team to Giampiero Sacchi. On an Aprilia RSV4 in the newly created Claiming Rule Category, he played his first race. In the last third of the season, he started on a Suter- BMW. At the last race of the season, the Grand Prix of Valencia at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo he could retract his best ever MotoGP placement with eighth. In the final classification of the Italians had 27 points, which gave him 19th overall.

In the 2013 season Petrucci goes for the same team on a Suter- BMW at the start. His team-mate is the Czech Lukáš Pesek.
