The Trouble With Dave was an American sitcom that aired on CBS between 1993 and 1997. It was based loosely on the life of Pulitzer Prize winner Dave Barry, who was played by Harry Anderson.
Action
The series is about the lives of columnist Dave Barry at the fictional newspaper Miami Record -Dispatch in Miami. He is married and lives with his wife and two sons in a suburb of Miami, where he writes his columns. His best friends are his editor Kenny Beckett and his neighbor, the newly divorced plastic surgeon Dr. Sheldon Baylor.Seine assistant Mia lives next door with her future husband Eric.
Background
The series is based on the books Dave Barry's Greatest Hits Dave Barry Turns 40, and as guest stars appeared, among others, John Ritter, Beatrice Arthur, Ed Begley Jr., George Hamilton and Pat Boone. The first two seasons have been released in the U.S. on DVD.
