Meshach Taylor
Meshach Taylor ( * April 11, 1947 in Boston, Massachusetts) is an American actor.
Life
Taylor is the son of two professors. He graduated from Florida A & M University in 1993.
Meshach Taylor was awarded a 1977 Joseph Jefferson Award for his performance in Sizwe Banzi is Dead piece at the Goodman Stage II Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. For the same award he received in 1979 a nomination for the piece of Native Son in the same theater.
Tylor is married to Bianca Ferguson since 1983 and has three children. He also has a child from a previous relationship.
His first engagement before the camera was the film Damien - Omen II, the sequel to The Omen, as Dr. Kane. Then he starred in Michael Crichton's thriller Coma. This could be seen as Dr. Mark Bellows in the lead roles Geneviève Bujold as Dr. Susan Wheeler and Michael Douglas. As a result, the blind rage of the third season of the television series The Incredible Hulk, Taylor made his first television appearance. He was together with the Hulk actor Lou Ferrigno and Bill Bixby as Dr. Bruce Banner in front of camera. In May 1981 he was seen as a medic in the last episode of the ninth season of M * A * S * H. In the same year he was in the horror film by Joe Dante to see the animal. In 1983 he was seen in 26 episodes as Tony in the U.S. sitcom Buffalo Bill. Here, Dabney Coleman played the title role. In the sci-fi adventure Explorers - A fantastic adventure (1984 ) he received a minor role, with the two then 15 -year-old Ethan Hawke and River Phoenix were given a lead role.
In the American sitcom The Golden Girls Meshach Taylor is seen in the episode The Engagement as a police officer. Then he made a guest appearance in the series ALF. In the television series Hill Street Blues he played two roles in the years 1982 and 1986. In the film drama Inside Out, he received the supporting role of Freddy and he was seen with Elliott Gould in front of the camera. In the thriller The Last Innocent Man, with Ed Harris in the lead role, he was seen as Crosby. Taylor played the role of Hollywood in the comedy Mannequin, alongside Andrew McCarthy, Kim Cattrall and James Spader and in the sequel.
As Anthony Bouvier starred in 145 episodes of Designing Women. Then embodied Meshach Taylor in the sitcom The Trouble With Dave the cosmetic surgeon Dr. Sheldon Baylor, and the best friend of Harry Anderson's character in 91 episodes. In 1993 he stood as Mr. N in the family film Halloween Twins, now they hexene double, with Mary -Kate and Ashley Olsen in the lead roles, facing the camera. This was followed by television appearances as an agent of Lea Thompson's character Caroline in Caroline in the City ( 1996), as a bus driver in The Angry Beavers (1998), in The Unit - A Few Good Men (2006) and Hannah Montana ( 2008).
In 1998 he made his Broadway debut as Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast where he starred alongside Toni Braxton.
