Dave Barry (actor)

Dave Barry ( born August 26, 1918 in New York City; † August 16, 2001 in Beverly Hills, California ) was an American actor, speaker, radio host and entertainer.

Life and career

As a teenager Dave Barry began working in radio, he continued this work in the coming decades. He came to act in animated films as a speaker, and in the Silly Symphonies series that parodied numerous former Hollywood stars. He here imitated the voices of many celebrities like Humphrey Bogart in the same number of films. For Capitol Records he also spoke in favor of popular cartoon series such as Bugs Bunny, Merrie Melodies, Pink Panther and Popeye. In addition, he was also seen with his body in movies and television shows, such as on the side of Marilyn Monroe in the B- Movie I dance into your heart from the year 1948. Few years later he also acted in her successful film Some Like It Hot as overtaxed band manager with leg Stock. Dave Barry also appeared on theater and performance stages, in Las Vegas, he worked as many years along with Wayne Newton.

The television series The amorous stewardesses ended his film career in 1978. Together with his wife Virginia, he was married until his death, they had four sons and a daughter. He died ten days before his 83rd birthday at a cancer.
