Davey Williams (musician)

Davey Williams ( born 1952 ) is an American jazz, rock and improvisation musicians.

Life and work

Williams played from the age of twelve guitar. He was a member of the rock band in high school ( 1968-70 ) and was a member during his studies of the band of Johnny Shines, with whom he occasionally also occurred in the late 1980s. In addition, he has appeared with the Salt & Pepper Soul Band Show ( 1971-74 ) and the University of Alabama 'B' jazz ensemble. He regularly played with LaDonna Smith, with whom he 1974 the duo TransMuseq and the same studio for music improvisation founded.

1978, Williams took his first tour of the USA next year followed his first European tour. Since the early 1980s he performed as a solo guitarist.
