David Boehm

David Boehm ( born 1 February 1893 in Brooklyn, New York, † July 31, 1962 in Santa Monica, California ) was an American screenwriter who was nominated once for an Academy Award for best original story.

Life

Boehm began his career in the film industry in Hollywood in 1933 as the author based on his work for the stage and directed by Roy Del Ruth social drama Employees' Entrance with Loretta Young, Warren William and Alice White. He summed up to 1960 the scripts and templates for 24 films and television series.

At the Academy Awards in 1945 Boehm was nominated along with Chandler Sprague for the Oscar for best original story, and indeed for the resulting directed by Victor Fleming war film Battle in the Clouds (A Guy Named Joe, 1943) with Spencer Tracy, Irene Dunne and Van Johnson in the lead roles.

The film was in 1989 by Steven Spielberg as Always - new film The Fire Angel by Montana with Richard Dreyfuss, Holly Hunter and Audrey Hepburn.
