David Draiman

David Michael Draiman ( born March 13, 1973 in Brooklyn, New York ) is an American singer. Draiman is the lead singer of the band Disturbed and Device.

Life

Draiman grew up in an Orthodox Jewish family and was a teacher or a doctor, by the will of its members. As a teenager Draiman visited five different Jewish high schools, including in Milwaukee and Los Angeles before he graduated at the Ida Crown Jewish Academy in Chicago. After leaving school, he studied law at Loyola University in Chicago and worked as a manager in health care.

Prior to the band Disturbed was a tenured member Draiman in seven different bands, but playing punk rock or were influenced by the Red Hot Chili Peppers or Faith No More. One day las Draiman an indication of the band Brawl, who sought a new vocalist. In a sample Draiman surprised the musicians so that he wanted to sing no cover version, but his own songs. Draiman was included in the band a short time later renamed to Draimans proposal in Disturbed. With Draiman Disturbed released five studio albums and sold more than eleven million albums worldwide. Since summer 2011, the band creates an indefinite break. A year later Draiman founded together with former guitarist Geno Lenardo filter the industrial rock band device, which released their debut album on April 5, 2013.

David Draiman is married to actress and former wrestler Lena Yada since 25 September 2011. On September 12, 2013 their first son Samuel Bear Isamu Draiman was born. The U.S. magazine Hit Parader listed Draiman in November 2006 at number 42 of the list of the 100 best metal singers of all time. Draiman is to act as a guest vocalist on Megadeth's new album Super Collider in the hymns Forget to Remember and Dance in the Rain.
