David McCray

David McCray ( born November 6, 1986 in Speyer ) is a German professional basketball player who played from 2007 to 2012 at EnBW Ludwigsburg in the basketball league at the point guard position. He currently plays for the Telekom Baskets Bonn.

McCray began his basketball career in his home town of Speyer, before joining the BG Karlsruhe in the first division and was on 26 December 2004 his Bundesliga debut against ENERGY Brunswick. After the descent of the BG Karlsruhe from the National Basketball League in 2007 McCray moved to the next-generation program EnBW Ludwigsburg. Under this program, McCray was used per B at the Kirchheim Knights in the 2007/2008 season in addition to its operations in Ludwigsburg in the 2nd Basketball Bundesliga. With Kirchheim McCray succeeded in rising to the 2nd Bundesliga Pro A. Since the 2008/2009 season, he only plays in the BBL. After four years with changing statistics, McCray decided for 2012/2013 season to leave the club and move within the BBL. He signed a contract for two years at the Telekom Baskets Bonn and to play a back up at the point guard and shooting guard positions there.

McCray went through numerous youth national teams of the German Basketball Federation and is currently A2 national team.
