David Price (Canadian politician)

David Price ( born June 2, 1945 in Sherbrooke, Quebec ) is a Canadian politician, the Party of Canada took for the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada and the Liberal and was represented in the Canadian House of Commons.

Life

After leaving school, Price went first to the military and served from 1959 to 1965, first in the Air Cadets, then in Sherbrooke Regiment as a reservist or the Sherbrooke Hussars Army Reserve Unit. At the same time, he trained as an electrician and founded his company in 1964 Price Electrique Inc., as its president since then acted.

His püolitische career began as a local councilor in Lennoxville von 1989 to 1993. Between 1993 and 1997 he was mayor of the then independent town of Lennoxville. In 1997 he was elected as a candidate of the Progressive Conservative party in the constituency Compton - Stanstead in the Canadian House of Commons. He moved in September 2000 to the Liberals and stayed another term represented in the House before he was elected in 2004 not more.

He was from 2003 to 2004 served as parliamentary secretary to the minister of defense. Following his lost elections in 2004 and 2006, he went back into the local politics and was elected president of the city council in Lennoxville 2009.

Price is married and lives in Lennoxville. The couple has a son.
