Life and achievements
Morgan made his debut in the comedy Cry Uncle from the year 1971. Thriller In Taxi Driver (1976 ), she appeared in a small supporting role. In the years 1976 to 1977, she appeared in several episodes of the television series What's Happening! on.
In the years 1982-1990 and 1994-1996 Morgan played in the television series All My Children. For this role she was nominated in 1986 for a Daytime Emmy Award, which she won in 1989. In 1986 and 1990 she was nominated for a Soap Opera Digest Award. For her role in the television series The City ( 1995) she was nominated in 1996 for the Image Award.
Morgan played in the film drama Eve 's Bayou (1997) opposite Samuel L. Jackson one of the major roles. For this role she won the 1998 Independent Spirit Award and the Chicago Film Critics Association Award, she was also nominated for a Golden Satellite Award and the Image Award. For his role in the boxing drama Hurricane (1999), in which she starred alongside Denzel Washington, she was nominated for the 2000 Image Award. For her appearances in the television series Soul Food in 2001 and 2002, she won the 2002 Image Award.
Morgan married after their marriages with the actors Charles Weldon and Charles S. Dutton in 1997 Donn Thompson.
