Delivery (Band)

Delivery was a British blues-rock and progressive rock band. It was founded in the late 1960s, various band members were active after the dissolution of Delivery bands in the Canterbury scene.

Band History

Founded by guitarist Phil Miller, his older brother, pianist Steve Miller, drummer Pip Pyle and bassist Jack Monck under the name " Bruno's Blues Band ," the group played several years in the London concerts. In 1968, saxophonist Lol Coxhill with the experimental, and the band's name changed to "Steve Miller 's Delivery ," which translates to " Steve Miller's message " means. In 1969, the band teamed up with blues singer Carol Grimes, and bassist Roy Babbington replaced Monck.

This occupation took in 1970 an album: Fools Meeting. Although Grimes wanted to be viewed as a simple member of the band, the record company released the album under " Carol Grimes and Delivery ". 1971 Pyle left the band and was initially for some time a member of Gong, took over his post a drummer Laurie Allan. Shortly after delivery disbanded. 1972 and 1973 there were still two short reunions, again with different occupations.
