Denis Marconato

Denis Marconato ( born July 29, 1975 in Treviso, Veneto ) is an Italian professional basketball player. The 2.11 m wide center was involved in a majority of his career for his hometown club Benetton Treviso active and instrumental in its success. From 2005 he played in the Spanish ACB League, before he returned in 2009 to clubs in his native Italy. After he left in 2013 unterklassig end his career at Treviso in 2012, the successor club of its common association Benetton, he was reactivated in early 2014 at 38 years old again from the Premiership club tradition of Cantù. Marco NATO won in his career so far five Italian championships and eight national cup competitions, including one in Spain with FC Barcelona. With Benetton Treviso won the Italian international, European champion in 1999 and silver medalist at the 2004 Olympic Games twice the European Cup Winners' Cup and reached the final of the ULEB Euro League 2002/ 03.

Career

Except for the 1995/96 season, when he was loaned to second division Floor Padova, Marco NATO played from 1993 to 2005 at Benetton Treviso. During this time he won next to the victories in the European Cup Winners' Cup four Italian championships and six Italian cups. He also starred with Treviso in 2003 in the final of European club competition wichtigisten Euro League, after he had already reached the semi-finals of Euro League and the European Champions' Cup in 1998 and 2002.

Followed in 2005 by Marco Nato changes to FC Barcelona, with whom he won the 2007 Spanish Cup. Marco NATO, whose strengths lie in the defensive area especially as he is known in 2014, the player with the second most shot block in the history of the Euro League, the club left after three years as a player with the then most applications in the most senior European club competition. After he had been in the 2008/ 09 season at the Basque Premiership returnees San Sebastián GBC under contract, Marconato returned at the end of the season back to Italy and joined shortly before the play-offs to Armani Jeans Milano, but the final series of the championship winless against Montepaschi Siena. For the subsequent season Marco NATO moved itself to the Italian series champion Siena, which he won in 2010 another national league and cup double.

From 2010 on Marco NATO first played at the historic club from Cantù. After 2011, the final series of the Championship series winner lost to Siena, would retire a year later surprisingly early from in the first play-off round. The same was repeated a year later with his new club Umana Venezia Mestre from his home region of Veneto. After his original club from Treviso had been dissolved in 2012 and went bankrupt, Marconato let 2013 end his career at the beginning of the 2013/14 season when unterklassig gambling successor club Treviso 2012 Basket. After the injury of Marco Cusin, however, brought him Cantu of the year back in the highest Italian league. With the club he will also play in the second most important European club competition Eurocup 2013/14.

National

With the national team Marco NATO could at European Championships once each Gold (1999 ), silver ( 1997) and bronze (2003) win. He also reached with Italy at the 2004 Olympic Games in the final.
