Deogratias Muganwa Byabazaire

Deogratias Muganwa Byabazaire ( born October 9, 1941 in Karujubu - Masindi, Uganda, † February 8, 2014 in Kampala ) was a Ugandan Roman Catholic bishop of the Diocese of Hoima.

Life

Deogratias Muganwa Byabazaire received on August 9, 1969, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On May 21, 1990, Pope John Paul II appointed Coadjutor Bishop of Hoima. The Apostolic Pro- Nuncio to Uganda, Archbishop Luis Robles Díaz, donated to him on 18 August of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Archbishop of Kampala, Emmanuel Wamala, and the Bishop of Hoima, Albert Edward Baharagate. On March 9, 1991 Deogratias Muganwa Byabazaire was in succession of Albert Edward Baharagate, who resigned for health reasons, Bishop of Hoima.
