Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs

The Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs ( FaHCSIA ) ( German Ministry for Families, Housing, Community and Indigenous Affairs beings ) is a Department of the Commonwealth of Australia. The main administration building is located in the south of Canberra in the suburb of Greenway.

Tasks and incumbent

The task of the Ministry is to develop and implement a social policy for the Australian society. The Office of Indigenous Policy Coordination of FaHCSIA for Aboriginal people is an important part of the ministry.

Furthermore, it develops concepts for equal rights for women in their own ministry.
