Department S is a British New Wave band.

Band History

The group went in 1980 from the ska -punk band Guns for Hire forth. Your name is inspired by the television series Department S. The Single Is Vic there? reached number 22 in the British charts. I Want reached number 1 in Spain. The band recorded in December 1980 at a session on John Peel.

The singer Vaughan Toulouse died in 1991 from the effects of HIV disease. In summer 2007 the band for a cover of Alvin Stardust My Coo -Ca - songs - Choo came together.
