Dětřichov nad Bystřicí

Dětřichov nad Bystřicí ( until 1930 Dětřichov, German Dittersdorf at the Feistritzwerke ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. Lies 14 kilometers northeast of Šternberk and belongs to Okres Bruntál.

Geography

Dětřichov is located on the southwestern foot of the mountain Slunečná ( Sun Mountain) in the Low dies and is traversed by the Bystřice. South-east rises the Dětřichovský Kopec ( 691 m).

Neighboring towns are Lomnice in the north, Nové Valteřice in the northeast, Čabová, Moravian Beroun and Ondrášov the southeast, Krahulčí in the south, Dalov in the southwest, and Huzová Arnoltice in the west and Ryžoviště in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Ditrichowa Lhota took place in the years 1317/18 as a Lehndorf Bishop of Olomouc since the time of Bruno of Petersburg. Dittersdorf was a settlement of coal miners and lumberjacks. Before 1410, the village was connected to the rule Sternberg.

1770 was an agricultural society, which implemented the cultivation of new crops such as clover, potatoes and fodder beet in place.

After the replacement of patrimonial the community Dittersdorf, which belonged to the district Šternberk since 1850 he produced. 1930, the community name Dětřichov / Dittersdorf was changed to distinguish it from other places in Dětřichov nad Bystřicí / Dittersdorf at the Feistritzwerke.

Until 1948 there were in the village is also a bakery, Locksmith, hairdresser and a forge. Today only stands a sawmill in operation, in which a portion of inhabitants earned a living.

In 1950, the city came to a new Okres Rýmařov. In 1960 the Okres Rýmařov was dissolved. Dětřichov nad Bystřicí was part of the Okres Bruntál; at the same time was the incorporation of Krahulčí.

Attractions

  • Church of St. George, built in 1766-1767 in place of a wooden old building. The altarpiece is by Johann Amler from Sternberg, the sixteenth -part baroque organ is a work from the workshop stone Unger in Engelberg.
