Deven Sharma

Deven Sharma ( born 1956 in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India) is an American- Indian manager and author.

Life

Sharma studied Economics at Dhanbad Birla Institute of Technology, at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee and at Ohio State University.

In August 2007, he became president of the U.S. rating agency Standard & Poor's. On 23 August 2011, he resigned from his post. Douglas Peterson occurs Sharma's successor expected in mid-September.

Sharma lives in New York City.
