Devil Sold His Soul

Devil Sold His Soul (or Devil sold his Soul ) is a post office, founded in 2004 Hardcore-/Progressive metal band from the United Kingdom consisting of Ed Gibbs ( vocals), Jonny Renshaw and Richard Chapple ( guitar ), Iain Trotter (bass guitar), Paul Kittney (samples) and Leks Wood ( drums). Wood is the successor to Dave Robinson, who from 2006 to 2007 drummer of the band was. The original drummer Tom Harriman, left the group in 2006. The band are sometimes also associated with stylistic elements of post-metal, the sludge.

History

Their first EP was released in 2005 under Visible Noise and bears the name Darkness Prevails. In 2008, the EP was re-released. The album received reviews among others from Kerrang! and Metal Hammer. Their debut album A Fragile Hope appeared on June 18, 2007. Visible Noise and however the band broke up before the production of the album. 2008 appeared a split CD with the group Tortuga. 2010 appeared the single Callous Heart and the second album Blessed & Cursed under Century Media.

The band toured later with Architects by the United Kingdom. The band planned by the support tour own headlining tour through Europe. The band was already Concerts in Mechelen and Amsterdam.

Beginning of April 2013, vocalist Ed Gibbs after nine years as an active member of the band, since he in his own words no longer had the feeling one hundred percent for the band to be there. Following this, the singer of the band The Arusha Accord Paul Green was announced as a new member of the band.
