Devin Bowen

Devin Bowen ( born May 18, 1972 in Newport Beach, California ) is a former American professional tennis player.

Life

Bowen was a professional tennis player in 1994, but played his entire first year as a pro exclusively on unterklassigen satellite tournaments. It was not until mid-1995, he appeared regularly in tournaments in the ATP Challenger tour, but he was only in August 1996 recorded his first notable success, when he reached the doubles final of Poznan with David Roditi. He won in 1997 on the side of Dinu Pescariu in Split his first of five career titles on the ATP Challenger Tour. He celebrated the biggest success in 2003 when he won in Amersfoort his only doubles title on the ATP World Tour with Ashley Fisher. Its highest listing in the tennis world ranking he reached in 1996 with position 635 in single and in 2003 with position 39 in doubles.

In the individual he was never able to qualify for one of the Grand Slam tournaments. In the doubles competition, he reached in 2001 and 2002 respectively the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open. In mixed he stood three times in the second round of Wimbledon.
