Pescariu celebrated at the age of 16 years as a qualifier won his first match on the ATP World Tour when he won in the first round against Steve Guy in Kitzbühel. As a result, he played primarily on satellite tournaments and on the ATP Challenger Tour. In 1991, he stood in the singles final of Geneva. Throughout his career, he was nine individual titles and four doubles titles on the ATP Challenger Tour win.
