Dinu Pescariu

Dinu Mihai Pescariu Dănuţ ( born April 12, 1974 in Bucharest ) is a former Romanian tennis player.

Life

Pescariu celebrated at the age of 16 years as a qualifier won his first match on the ATP World Tour when he won in the first round against Steve Guy in Kitzbühel. As a result, he played primarily on satellite tournaments and on the ATP Challenger Tour. In 1991, he stood in the singles final of Geneva. Throughout his career, he was nine individual titles and four doubles titles on the ATP Challenger Tour win. His biggest success was the title in ATP Umag, where he Davide Sanguinetti next was victorious against the Slovaks Dominik Hrbatý and Karol Kučera 1997. Its highest listing in the tennis world ranking he reached in 1998 with position 75 in the singles and in 1997 with position 114 in doubles.

His best individual results in Grand Slam Turniern was reaching the second round of the French Open, Wimbledon and the U.S. Open. There he beat Goran Ivanisevic in 1997 and then failed to Jens Knippschild. In the doubles competition, he also reached there in the same year the second round.

Pescariu played between 1991 and 2000 17 single and four double appearances for the Romanian Davis Cup team. His company balance sheet stood at 9:8, from its double games he could win, however, just one. His greatest success with the team was participating in the first round game in the World Group in 1996. 's 3-2 victory over Belgium, he came in double used.

With the Summer Olympic Games in 1992 and 1996, he represented Romania. In 1992, he reached to the side of George Cosac what quarterfinals in doubles competition, he took up in singles and doubles, however, different in each case in the first round.
