Diamond Dallas Page
Page Falkinburg Joseph Jr. ( born April 5, 1956 in Point Pleasant, New Jersey ) is a retired American professional wrestler and occasional actor. He is best known by his stage name Diamond Dallas Page.
Falkinburg was an active wrestler for the two largest wrestling organizations in North America, World Championship Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment, busy. His greatest achievement was the three-time obtain the WCW World Heavyweight Champion title.
Today he is active as a fitness consultant and motivational speaker.
Career
American Wrestling Association
In the 1980s, Page Falkinburg was still working as a bouncer. He was friends with various musicians such as Van Halen.
At the age of 32 he decided to become wrestlers. Falkinburg signed with the American Wrestling Association and lay down the gimmick of Diamond Dallas Page to. There Page Falkinburg was initially active as a ring attendant. So he accompanied Paul Diamond and Pat Tanaka to the ring. Falkinburg was often asked why he would not take himself active as a wrestler, but by the AWA leadership has been repeatedly attested to him that you would not need him there as a wrestler.
Page Falkinburg also turned down an offer from the WWF because the WWF appeared to him to be too big and he knew that he would there make a big career.
Florida Championship Wrestling
Falkinburg went after leaving the AWA to Dusty Rhodes ' Florida Championship Wrestling, where he took the role of a commentator. In FCW, he worked with Gordon Solie.
World Championship Wrestling
About Dusty Rhodes ' came Page Falkinburg now to World Championship Wrestling, where he debuted as a ring companion of the Fabulous Freebirds. Falkinburg impressed the WCW officials with good promos and so he should help the newcomer Diamond Studd in starting his career.
When Bill Watts, the former owner of the Universal Wrestling Federation, control over WCW was, Falkinburg was less and less to see on TV. So this started as an active wrestler. He trained with Vinnie Vegas a tag team and they established themselves as Vegas Connection in the middle fight card. Due to a biceps injury fell from Page Falkinburg but for the rest of 1992.
When he returned in 1993 left the WCW Page Falkinburg now compete as a solo wrestler. Falkinburg had in his injury break the valet Kimberly met, which is now his manager Diamond Doll was in front of the cameras. Both were also a couple and married.
The WCW entangled Falkinburg 1994 in a feud with Johnny B. Badd. When Eric Bischoff took over the lead in the WCW, Page learned Falkinburg a promotion. He could start a feud with the brother of Kevin Sullivan. In the event WCW Fall Brawl 1995, Page Falkinburg could get his first title when he was defeated Renegade and win the TV Championship title. Following the feud program was taken up with Johnny B. Badd WCW Halloween Havoc at the back and had Page Falkinburg the TV title back exits.
Page Falkinburg has now been reinstated in the bottom fight card. The storyline after Falkinburg had lost all his money and now had to live on the street.
A new career was boosted Page Falkinburg as he is now against the formation of the new World order presented. Its members, Hall and Nash tried to recruit Falkinburg for the nWo. The loyalty to WCW made Falkinburg a crowd favorite. The WCW guide now made him the " hard-working workers" and Falkinburg had to take the old gimmick of arrogant nouveau riche.
In WCW Starrcade 1997 Page Falkinburg could finally win the WCW U.S. Title. He defended the title against Chris Benoit and Raven. In WCW Spring Stampede 1998 Falkinburg had to hand the title to Raven. After several matches you gave him a title match against Bill Goldberg, but that he could not win. Briefly held Falkinburg also the U.S. Championship.
Page Falkinburg finally took a break after several feud programs. After his return he was reinstated as a villain and was finally allowed to also hold the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.
When WCW Spring Stampede 2000 Falkinburg allowed to compete against Jeff Jarrett for the vacant WCW title but not win. Only when the next nitro expenditure, Page Falkinburg could win the title.
It came to one day match for the title, the actor David Arquette was allowed to win, causing it to the WCW World Title fetched. Falkinburg was finally written in 2001 from the storyline by being injured by Scott Steiner. During his time out WCW was acquired by rival WWF.
World Wrestling Entertainment
Page Falkinburg appeared in summer 2001 in the WWF as a mysterious "Stalker " on the side of the ECW / WCW Alliance on who persecuted the woman Undertaker. In the next time he was allowed to win the WWF Tag Team title along with Kanyon.
Finally had to start in the WWF again at the bottom, as this put him in the bottom fight card Page Falkinburg. When he was reinstated in the mid- fight card, he was allowed on 31 January 2002 to win the WWE European title from Christian at WrestleMania X8, and these defend against this. Falkinburg later had to cede to William Regal the title. In a match against Bob Holly, he suffered a severe neck injury. With this injury, and also because it came out 46 years ago he decided to end his career despite ongoing contract with the WWE.
NWA Total Nonstop Action Wrestling
Thanks to a specially designed yoga program, he got his neck problems without surgery in the handle. On 12 November 2004 Falkinburg debuted in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. Here he had feud programs with Raven, Erik Watts and Jeff Jarrett. In TNA Destination X, on March 13, 2005 Falkinburg received a match for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship against Jeff Jarrett that he had to lose, however. In May 2005 he left TNA to focus on his career as an actor.

Page admits in his autobiography that he was illiterate until his 36th birthday. To help others, he is still a teacher of literacy in a community college in New Jersey.
