Diary of Dreams

Diary of Dreams is a German band around singer Adrian Hates. Initially settled in the Dark Wave environment, the music of Diary of Dreams changed drastically from the turn of the millennium and there were elements of electro and future pop added.

Band History

Adrian Hates was before 1989 some time as guitarist in two school bands, but not suitable seemed to him to realize his musical and lyrical ideas. In 1989 he wrote the guitar piece diary of dreams, which eventually earned him the inspiration for the band name Diary of Dreams. Looking for other musicians who shared his ideas, he found only the guitarist Alistair Kane, with whom he founded in 1989 Diary of Dreams. The first four recorded in 1990 demo tracks were never released, as Adrian they were too bad.

In 1994 the debut album was released on Cholymelan Dion Fortune Records, the label of Garden of Delight, in which Adrian Hates played bass since 1992. Inspired by Dion Fortune founded in 1995 Adrian Hates his own label Accession Records, released on which all later publications.

For the recording of Psychoma? 1998 Diary of Dreams by Christian Berghoff (guitar) and [Os ] mium (keyboard) has been extended. In 1999 the debut album was re-released and the Cholymelan Compilation Moments of Bloom released with remixes. Christian Berghoff left Diary of Dreams to live a year in London. After his return, he worked only for Accession Records. As a replacement came Torben Wendt ( keyboards and vocals ), singer and mastermind of diorama, and added Adrian Hates especially the vocals.

2001 rose from Alistair Kane and was replaced by Lil'K, in turn, a year later by Gaun: A was replaced. Also, came with Ray: X, the first drummer of the band's history, the Diary of Dreams 2004 but left and keyboardist of Psyche ( band ) was. As a replacement came in 2004 (DNS Suicide Commando, Tactical Sekt, sortie, Davantage ).
