Dicoy Williams

Dicoy Williams ( born October 7, 1986 in Kingston) is a Jamaican football player who is under contract with Toronto FC in Major League Soccer since 2011.

Career

Association

Dicoy Williams played to his early days as a professional exclusively in the homeland Jamaica, and began in 2005 with the record champions FC Santos Jamaica, but moved later that year to Arnett Gardens FC. In 2007 he came to Harbour View FC. The Harbour View FC he won the Jamaican National Premier League in 2010 and was one of the key players for this success. The Norwegian second division Mjøndalen IF became aware of him through his consistently good performances and invited him to trial.

In March 2011, Williams completed a trial with Canadian club Toronto FC. In Toronto he impressed coach Aron Winter and signed a contract on March 31. Just two days later, he completed his league debut when he came on in the second half with a 1-1 draw against CD Chivas USA for Nana Attakora - Gyan.

National

On 12 August 2009 he played at Giants Stadium against Ecuador be A- Länderspieldbüt for Jamaica. When CONCACAF Gold Cup 2011 he belonged to the 21- man squad of Jamaica. In the 4-0 victory over Grenada in the first group match, he played from the beginning, in the second group game in the 2-0 victory over Guatemala he was substituted in the 10th minute due to a knee injury.
