Diener & Diener

Diener & Diener Architekten is a Swiss architecture firm headquartered in Basel and a branch in Berlin. It was designed by architect Marcus Diener (* September 24, 1918 Basel, Basel † August 2, 1999 ) founded and continued by his son Roger Diener (* 1950 in Basel).

History

Marcus Diener founded 1942, the company Marcus Diener architect. His son Roger Diener studied architecture at the ETH Zurich, where the 1976 Dolf Schnebli his diploma. He then went into the company he continues under the name of Diener & Diener Architekten since 1978 with Dieter Righetti and Andreas Rüedi and since 2011 directs with Terese Erngaard, Michael Roth and Andreas Rüedi.

" With his buildings is the servant aiming at quick consumption and consumption of building an architecture with sparsely used simple patterns, typologies and agents against ," said the jury in its justification for the award of Heinrich Tessenow Medal in 2011.
