Dieter Mirnegg

Hans -Dieter Mirnegg ( born May 24, 1954 in Klagenfurt ) is a retired Austrian football player who was used mainly in defense.

Career

Mirnegg started his Bundesliga career in the 1972/73 season in Austria Klagenfurt. After three seasons at the Carinthian he moved in 1975 to the SK VOEST Linz, where he played more than 100 Bundesliga appearances in four years. In 1979 he moved to Germany to MSV Duisburg. After two years in the Ruhr Mirnegg played a year in Italy at Como Calcio. In 1982 Dieter Mirnegg returned to Austria and played in the following years, among other things, FC Union Wels, Wiener Sport Club, the SK Vorwärts Steyr and again at SK VOEST Linz.

Overall, he graduated in Austria 244 Bundesliga matches and scored 12 goals.

Hans -Dieter Mirnegg also played for the Austrian national team. He made his debut in January 1979 in a friendly match in Israel. By November of 1981 - a World Cup qualifier in Bulgaria - followed by 14 other performances in the red - white national dress.
