Dimitar Rangelow (2010)

Dimitar Rangelow [ dimitar rangɛɫɔf ] ( Bulgarian Димитър Рангелов, English transcription / FIFA notation: Dimitar Rangelov; born February 9, 1983 in Sofia, Bulgaria) is a Bulgarian football player.

Career

Association

Rangelow began playing football at Levski Sofia. From 1999 to 2006 he played for Slawia Sofia and came as a 17 -year-old his first appearance in a championship game. In the summer of 2006, he completed a trial with FC Erzgebirge Aue. A commitment failed due to the higher transfer fee, which paid the French club Racing Strasbourg for him.

In Alsace Rangelow came in the first half of the season 2006/ 07, although 15 games ( two goals ), but was several times only once and replaced. In January 2007 Rangelow again took part in a trial with FC Erzgebirge Aue. Then the Erzgebirger borrowed the Bulgarians Racing Strasbourg by the end of June 2007.

In Aue Dimitar Rangelow immediately became a regular player. In the match against Wacker Burghausen on 16 February 2007, he scored his first goal for the team of coach Gerd Harmful after he was failed on the previous matchday in the encounter with the SpVgg Greuther Fürth with a penalty by goalkeeper Stephan Loboué. In the following games Rangelow could always be found in the starting eleven, while one of the few players Auer, which was attested in the second half normal form.

For the season 2007/ 08 changed Rangelow, again on loan to Energie Cottbus. After expiry of the loan at the end of the season the club moved a purchase option and tied Rangelow longer term.

After the descent of Energie Cottbus in the Bundesliga Rangelow joined the 2009/10 season at Borussia Dortmund. The uncommitted transfer fee is said to have amounted to about one million euros. BVB he signed a contract until 30 June 2013. Gameday On the 27th of the season 2009/10 he scored in the 87th minute of the 3-0 winner against Bayer 04 Leverkusen and thus his first and only goal for BVB.

As of September 6, 2010, he was loaned out to Maccabi Tel Aviv. For the 2011/12 season he moved - again on loan - to Energie Cottbus. During the summer break in 2012 Rangelow signed a two-year contract with an option for another season at FC Luzern.

National

For Bulgaria, he played on 17 November 2004 in a 0-0 draw against Azerbaijan, his first international match when he came on in the 58th minute for Dimitar Berbatov.
