Dimitris Beis

Dimitris Beis (Greek Δημήτρης Μπέης, born 1928 in Edessa; † 25 October 2012 in Athens ) was a Greek politician.

Beis studied law and was for postgraduate studies in Paris. In 1964 he was mayor of the municipality Zografos in the Athens area. Beis was from 1979 to 1986 in two successive legislatures, the mayor of Athens. During this time he sat down for a greening of the city and the sport excessively.
