Diners Club Arena

Rapperswil -Jona Lakers (since 2006)

The Diners Club Arena is the home of the ice hockey team Rapperswil -Jona Lakers in the municipality of Rapperswil -Jona.

The former stadium, " Lido " was completely rebuilt and renamed " Diners Club Arena ". The name change was made ​​because Diners Club is the main sponsor and has co-financed the construction of a new hockey arena with around 1.5 million francs.

The loans of over 5 million Swiss francs were clearly accepted in both communities in the vote on 25 September 2005, therefore, the Rapperswil -Jona Lakers since the 2006/2007 season in the new, converted stadium can play. The reconstruction works started during play in 2005.

The new arena holds 6,100 spectators. There was this place redeployment of standing on more seats. Also especially the food supply and sanitation facilities have been renovated.
