Diogo Ortiz de Villegas

Diogo Ortiz de Vilhegas (Spanish: Diego Ortiz de Villegas, * 1457 in Calzadilla, † 1519 in Almeirim ) is a Portuguese cosmography, theologian and Bishop of Spanish origin.

Life

The 1457 da Silva was born as the son of Alfonso Ortiz de Villegas from Toledo and Maria Castilian Calzadilla Diego Ortiz de Villegas is mentioned in the Portuguese Diogo Ortiz de Vilhegas or Portuguese, even after his birthplace " Calçadilha ".
