Discovery Islands
The Discovery Islands are an archipelago between Vancouver Iceland and the mainland of British Columbia. They are located in Canada and are sometimes considered part of the Northern Gulf Islands. It includes the following islands:
- Cortes Iceland
- East Redonda Iceland
- East Thurlow Iceland
- Hernando Iceland
- Maurelle Iceland
- Quadra Iceland
- Read Iceland
- Rendezvous Islands
- Sonora Iceland
- Twin Islands
- West Redonda Iceland
- West Thurlow Iceland
The island group is sparsely populated and is located in the Strathcona Regional District (except Hernando Iceland that in the Powell River Regional District is located ).
Traffic
The islands of Quadra and Cortes Iceland Iceland have ferry services. The other islands can be reached by seaplane or private boat.
