Mount Barker is located about 30 km southeast of the city center of Adelaide metropolitan region in the Outer Adelaide. The area includes 32 districts and towns. The administrative headquarters of the council is located in the town of Mount Barker in the center of the LGA.

Management

The Council of Mount Barker has eleven members, ten Councillors are elected by the residents of the three Wards (two from the South Ward and four from Central and North Ward). These three districts are set independently of the villages. The Council President and Mayor ( Mayor ) is also elected by all residents of the LGA.
