McMillan is one of 150 constituencies, which are used to select the Australian House of Representatives. It is located east of Melbourne in the south of Victoria. The constituency includes the towns of Pakenham, Warragul, Moe, Wonthaggi, Leongatha and Foster. He was named after the Australian explorer Angus McMillan and created in 1949.

Since 2004, Russell Broadbent of the Liberal Party of Australia, the reigning members of the constituency. This was already between 1996 to 1998 delegates of the constituency.
