Dlhé Stráže

Dlhé Stráže (up to 1948 Slovak " Lengvarty "; German Lengwart or Litzier, Hungarian Lengvárt ) is a town in eastern Slovakia, with a population of 547 (as at 31 December 2011) and belongs to Okres Levoča kraj a circle of Prešov.

Geography

The municipality is located on the southwestern slope of the mountains by the brook Levočské Bicír in the traditional landscape Zips. The center is located at an altitude of 613 m nm and is located six kilometers from Levoča ( road distance ).

History

The town was first mentioned in 1278 as Bicere writing.
