Dmitry Japarov

Dmitri Semenovich Japarow (Russian: Дмитрий Семёнович Япаров; * January 1, 1986 in Moschga, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian cross-country skiers.

Career

Japarow is known for its strength in the classical technique. He also scored his best results in the World Cup. Japarow usually occurs at about the longer distances and at interval starts and handicap start race over 5 to 20 km. In stage races like the Tour de Ski, the Russian showed in the past, good results in sprint. He came in the classic sprint at the Tour de Ski 2011/2012 to the final and finished there in fourth place behind the three Russian sprinter Nikita Kryukov, Alexey Petukhov and Nikolai Morilow. In the Nordic Opening in Kuusamo 2012 Japarow won again in a classic sprint to fourth place. In the world rankings, he rose from 2011 to 2013 continuously.
