Dog Day - A man running for his life ( Alternative title: A man runs for his life; Original Title: Canicule ) is a French action thriller from 1984, directed by Yves Boisset, who together with Jean Herman, Michel Audiard, Dominique Roulet and Serge. Korber the screenplay based on a novel by Jean Herman ( under the pseudonym of Jean Vautrin published) wrote.
Action
The American Jimmy Cobb captured one million U.S. dollars and flees to France. The police and members of a criminal organization pursue him. Cobb buries the money on the grounds of a farm. The family who owns the farm, trying to take the money itself. Are killed numerous family members.
Reviews
Movie service wrote that the film is " from the substance ago an interesting study of forms of human greed and malice ." He, however, give away " his subject in a superficial brutal and ambivalent staging ".
The magazine TV Movie wrote that the film was " morbid, photographed drastically and great." He illuminated " brutally and ruthlessly forms of human greed ."
