Dołganów

Dołganów ( German name: Dolgenow ) is a small village in the Polish rural community Rabino, part of the powiat Świdwiński in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. 13 km northeast of the county town Świdwin is Dołganów at the foot of the 120 meter high Czermna ( Black Mountain).

History

Dolgenow is an old manor village in the district Schivelbein and with the neighboring Klötzin (now Polish: Kłodzino ) connected, with which it formed a municipality in the district Kreitzig ( Krzecko ).

In 1540 arrives Dolgenow - as Klötzin - in the possession of the Knights, and in 1621 by Lorenz Wachholz is invested with Dolgenow. 1804, it is part owned by Christoph Radüge, which also Retzin ( Rzecino ) in Belgard county. In 1928 Ernst finally Schmeling is the owner of the manor with a size of at least 744 hectares. Ernst Schmeling had six (6 ) children, in 1940 he took his own life because he saw what happened to come and wanted to be buried on his own ground and floor. In March 1945, the Red Army marched into Dolgenow. The town became part of Poland, and the ancestral population had to leave the place. Today Dołganów part of the rural municipality ( gmina ) Rabino.

Church

Dolgenow belonged to the parish Klötzin, the daughter church in the parish Nelep ( Nielep ) the church district Schivelbein ( Ecclesiastical Province of Pomerania the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union) was. The church patronage of Dolgenow recently served Rittergutsbesitzer Schmeling. Last German pastor was Georg Roessler in Nelep.

Extracurricular Dolgenow was associated with Klötzin.

Attractions

Of particular interest in today's Dołganów is the old park from the 19th century.
