Dollard-Des Ormeaux

Dollard -Des Ormeaux is a city in the southwest of the Canadian province of Quebec. It is located on the Île de Montréal west of Montreal. The city has an area of ​​15.10 km ² and has 49,637 inhabitants ( 2011).

Geography

Dollard -Des Ormeaux is located in the west of the Île de Montréal, in the region of West Iceland. The municipality is bordered to the north by the Montreal borough of Pierrefonds - Roxboro, on the southwest by Kirkland, to the south and southeast of Beaconsfield Dorval. History

The present municipality was originally founded in 1741 for the town of Sainte -Geneviève, which was reduced several times over the decades. The foundation of the church Dollard -Des Ormeaux was in 1924.
