The Ponte Dom Luis I is an arch bridge over the Douro, in Portugal the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia connects.

The bridge has two levels: Above the arch leads to two tracks trams, on the lower level it forms a road link. The lower level connects the arc endpoints, and depends on the railway bridge. Both levels are accessible for pedestrians.

Winner of the tender was the Belgian company Société de Willebroeck, based on the plans of engineer Théophile Seyrig. Seyrig the 500 m further upstream located Ponte Maria Pia had been built from 1875 to 1877 with Gustave Eiffel.

The bridge was on 31 October 1886 by King Ludwig I of Portugal (Dom Luís ), whose name it bears inaugurated. It belongs to the area of the historic city of Porto and, therefore, since 1996 a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
