Dominic Mai Luong

Dominic May Luong ( Vietnamese: Đa Minh Thanh Lương May, born December 20, 1940 in Cường Minh, Vietnam ) is Auxiliary Bishop of Orange in California.

Life

Its name combines Western names Tradition ( Dominic as first name before the family name May) Vietnamese ( Luong as a personal name stands behind the family name ).

Dominic May Luong received on 21 May 1966, the sacrament of Holy Orders for the Diocese of Da Nang. May 1976 Dominic Luong was incardinated into the clergy of the Archdiocese of New Orleans.

On 25 April 2003, Pope John Paul II appointed titular bishop of Cebarades and Auxiliary Bishop of Orange in California. The Bishop of Orange in California, Death David Brown, donated to him on 11 June of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Archbishop of New Orleans Alfred Clifton Hughes, and the Auxiliary Bishop of Orange in California, Jaime Soto.
