Dominic Purcell

Dominic Haakon Myrtvedt Purcell ( born February 17, 1970 in Wallasey, Cheshire, England) is an Australian actor.

Life

Dominic Purcell has a Norwegian father and an Irish mother. In 1972 the family moved from England to Sydney in Australia. Purcell was trained as a landscape architect, and he later opted for the drama schools The Australian Theatre for Young People and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. He made his debut in 1997 in the Australian television series Raw FM. In the television film The daughter of the president: In mortal danger (1999) he played alongside Mariel Hemingway and Monica Keena, in the film Mission: Impossible II ( 2000), he starred opposite Tom Cruise.

In 2000, Dominic Purcell received the green card and was able to enter the United States. He played the lead role in the TV movie John Doe and the subsequent TV series of the same name. In the film Blade: Trinity (2004) he played alongside Wesley Snipes and Kris Kristofferson. From 2005 to 2009 he played the lead role of the inmate Lincoln Burrows in the U.S. television series Prison Break.

With his wife Rebecca Dominic has four children. Until his separation, the couple lived in Los Angeles. Since 2011, Dominic Purcell is in a relationship with AnnaLynne McCord.
