Doris Maletzki

Doris Maletzki, divorced Brachmann ( born June 11, 1952 in Salzwedel, Saxony -Anhalt ) is a German track and field athlete, who in the 1970s - starting for the GDR - was successful in the sprint, including 1976 as a relay Olympic gold medalist.

Given the dominance of other East German sprinters they only came in the relay events to major international successes:

For their sporting successes it was 1974 and 1976 awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit.

Doris Maletzki competed for the SC Dynamo Berlin and coached with Günter Sauer. In her playing days, she was 1.68 m tall and weighed 56 kg. After her athletic career, she was financial economist; later, she held senior positions at the Berlin Football Association.
