Dos Rios AVA

Dos Rios AVA ( recognized since 14 October 2005) is an American Viticultural Area in the U.S. state of California. The area extends over the northern part of the administrative area of Mendocino County. The area with the protected designation of origin is located near the Eel River at the mouth of the creek Middle Fork of the Eel River. The Spanish name of the appellation ( Dos Rios = Two Rivers ) plays on this fact to. The area is still benefiting from the cooling sea breezes of the Pacific.
