Doubravice (Trutnov District)

Doubravice ( German Daubrawitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located four kilometers southwest of Dvůr Králové nad Labem and belongs to Okres Trutnov.

Geography

The place is located hřbet in the area of the ridge Zvičinský and will brook crossed by Zátlucký. Northeast rises at the waste to the Elbe Valley Mountain Záleský vrch ( 459 m).

Neighboring towns are Bila Třemešná, dubinka, Nové Lesy and Zahájí in the north, Rovinky, Lipnice and Zálesí in the northeast, Sylvárov, Maly Libotov and Libotov in the east, Dubenec the southeast, Velehrádek, Nebesa and Lanžov in the south, Bile Poličany the southwest, Končiny and Zábřezí - Řečice in the west and Chaloupky in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Doubravice dates from the year 1542. 1625 a meeting of Czech Brethren was held under Johann Amos Comenius in the village.

The municipality consists of the villages Doubravice Doubravice ( Daubrawitz ) Velehrádek (small Welehrad ) and Zálesí (Sales ).
