Doug E. Doug

Doug E. Doug ( born January 7, 1970 in Brooklyn, New York City as Douglas Bourne ) is an American actor.

Life and achievements

Doug E. Doug, an African-American, since the age of 17 working as a comedian. In 1991 he played the lead role in the comedy Hangin 'out - 4 Homeboys Move, for which he was nominated in 1992 for the Independent Spirit Award. In the television series Harlem Hip Hop ( Where I Live, 1993) he played a starring role in 1994 and was nominated for the Young Artist Award. He had his first major international box-office hit in 1993 with the Disney movie Cool Runnings - Be there, in which he played the lead role of Sanka Coffie. It was followed by the other Disney comedies Operation Dumbo (1995), in which he appeared alongside Danny Glover and Ray Liotta, and That Darn Cat from 1997, in which he took a starring role alongside Christina Ricci.

For his role in the television series Cosby, in which he played in the years 1996-2000 on the side of Bill Cosby, Doug E. Doug was nominated in 1998, 1999 and 2000 for the Image Award. In the comedy Citizen James ( 2000), he played one of the lead roles, he also wrote the screenplay with and led the Director.

Doug is a member of the Nation of Islam.
