Douglas da Silva

Douglas da Silva (born 7 March 1984) is a Brazilian footballer.

Career

Douglas began his professional career at Avaí FC and then played for Associação de Esportes Ferroviária. In the summer of 2004 he moved to Israel Hapoel Kfar Saba in the second highest Israeli league. There they rose to immediately and with the tenth place in the 2005/06 season the class in the year it was obtained. In the winter transfer season 2006/ 07 he moved on loan for half a year to Latvia for FC Daugava Daugavpils. There he was with the club at the end of fifth place in the Latvian league.

In the summer of 2007 he returned to Israel and played until the end of the season 2007/08 Hapoel Kfar Saba. This season the club again dismounted from the Ligat ha Al. Now Douglas moved to Hapoel Tel Aviv, where he became a regular player runner-up in Israel in his first season.

Douglas da Silva joined on 1 January 2011 for a transfer fee of 2.6 million euros to FC Red Bull Salzburg .. At the last test match before the start of the spring season against Slovan Liberec but he hurt himself so badly that he failed to November 2011. His first league match in Salzburg, he played in a 6-0 victory on 26 November against SV Kapfenberg. On January 7, 2013 Douglas was awarded for one year to Brazil to Figueirense Futebol Clube.
