Dragon Records

Dragon Records is a Swedish jazz label.

Dragon Records was founded in 1975 by journalist Lars Westin ( * October 15, 1948 ). Westin also the editor of the magazine was OJ ( Orkester journals ); he runs the company now with Leif Collin ( b. 1940 ).

Dragon released several hundred albums by Swedish jazz musicians such as Lars Danielsson, Anders Jormin, position Alpha, Lars Sjösten, Bobo Stenson and Per Henrik Wallin ( Coyote, 1998) and documented live performances American musician in Sweden. Attracted international attention Dragon through a CD series on Lars Gullins recordings from the 1950s, which were also Lee Konitz, Jutta Hipp and Zoot Sims participated. Dragon also published the Stockholm concerts of Miles Davis with John Coltrane and Sonny Stitt from the years 1960 and 1961 in a comprehensive 4- CD edition.
