Dreamcatcher Interactive

DreamCatcher Interactive was a Canadian game publisher. The company was founded in 1996 by Richard Wah Kan in Toronto. 2003 saw the establishment of the company's own publishing label The Adventure Company. 2006 Dream Catcher was taken over by the Austrian publisher JoWooD games. Following the bankruptcy JoWooDs 2011, all trade marks owned by Dreamcatcher were sold to Nordic Games.

History

After its founding in 1996 Dreamcatcher published especially for adventure and simple strategy games. In March 2000, the French publisher Cryo Interactive Entertainment acquired a majority stake in Dreamcatcher, Dreamcatcher which took over the publication of all Cryo- titles for the North American market. In January 2002 Dreamcatcher founded his publishing label The Adventure Company, which specialized in the publication of adventure games. Despite the bankruptcy and closure of Cryos Dreamcatcher was able to continue the business operations and opened in January 2003, the first European office in Paris.

In November 2006, the Austrian publisher JoWooD announced the acquisition Dreamcatchers in order to expand its market position in the North American market. Dreamcatcher sales in a row JoWooD Product Catalog for North America. 2011 JoWooD had to file for bankruptcy, purchased in August 2011 Nordic Games all rights of JoWooD and the naming rights to The Adventure Company. On November 17, Nordic Games also announced the acquisition of all trademarks and rights of title games Dreamcatcher. Since then Dreamcatcher serves only as a publishing label for Nordic Games.
